*Students need to bring a pencil/pen to class each day.
Classroom Rule = Only 1 Students are not allowed to have personal items on their desk or in their hands at any time during the learning environment (i.e. food, drinks, cell phone, purse, wallet, grooming items, etc.). Class time is for you to actively engage in educational content and dialogues.
Classroom Expectations 1.Be on time, on task, and in your seat for class each day. 2.Respect yourself, the teacher, and others’ space and property. 3.Keep a positive attitude during the learning environment. 4.Complete all assignments on time.
Classroom Discipline If a student breaks the classroom rule or any habit that habitually interrupts the learning environment, the following discipline plan will be used: 1.Verbal warning 2.Student/Teacher reflection 3.Administration support with phone call home 4.Referral process
Classroom Seating Chart Students are empowered to make a good seating choice. However, students should not get comfortable in a seat. *Mrs. Burke has the right to move a student who disrupts the learning environment and assign seats to the entire class at anytime. Classroom Restroom Policy Students need to use the restroom before they come to class. If an emergency occurs, then a pass may be given to a student.*Passes will not be given to students who does not cooperate in class activities, complete assignments, or has abused the restroom policy.
Tardies Students should be on time to class each day, waiting at the Threshold for Mrs. Burke. If a student is tardy, then it will be marked. If excessive tardies (2 to 3) occur, than administration will be informed.
